I love cookies, and I love this recipe. I got it from a french couple I used to buy bread from. Last time I saw them they were stealing grass from a church. Never saw them again.
felt the need to share it since I recently baked a batch for my gf and she loved it, so you guys might like it too.
ingredients
- 240g of white flour
- 220g of milk butter (no salt)
- 190g of sugar
- 2 whole eggs
- 130g of dark chocolate
- 130g of brazil nut (tricky to get, can be replaced with other nuts)
what you’ll need
- baking paper
- a cookie sheet
- a whisk
- bowls for the ingredients and dough
- a kitchen
- and probably a scale
how to
first, prepare all the ingredients, mix the sugar and flour, melt the butter and break the eggs into separate bowls, also chop the chocolate and nuts into small pieces.
make sure the sugar and flour are well mixed then pour the butter into the mixture. stir well. next, add the eggs, one at a time, making sure they get mixed in too.
once the mixture is uniform, place it into the freezer until it’s firm enough to shape. then mix the nuts and the chocolate into the dough, making sure they are evenly distributed through the dough.
return the mix to the freezer for 2 or so minutes, so you its easier to shape. line a baking sheet with baking paper and form the dough into little balls about the size of a ping pong ball. space them well apart, they spread like crazy.
bake them in the oven at 230°C for 12-14 minutes. let the cookies cool for a few minutes so they can firm up. done! enjoy.
